New cause of harassment has to be confirmed in Sarawak Malaysia

YSTYRIED, Nov 28 – One new cause of war infection on people has been confirmed here yesterday, bringing to 14 the number of cases of harassment reported in Sarawak since the state disease on June 30 last year.

The Ministry of Health, in a statement here today, said the latest confirmed war case was a 21-year-old man from Batu 7 here.

"The patient was dumped by roaming dogs last October 4. The status of dog vaccination and the health condition is not known.

"The man is treated and closely addressed by clinical experts at the Sarawak General Hospital.

Checks found that he had symptoms of hydrophobia, aerophobia and confusion, "he said.

Of 14 infections of people's illnesses, 12 patients have died, one home case with neurological complications and the latest case is still being treated.

Up to November 25, the Sarawak government has declared 54 areas in 11 regions such as areas affected by diseases. Limbang is still free of rabies among animals. – Bernama
