Lego is introducing a new STEM Star Wars package – TechCrunch

No one makes brand synergy like Lego. The company has been one of the biggest Star Wars licensees over the years, and for the first time, it's one of the most valuable IP pieces to be used for. own line of STEM packages, Lego Boost.

For Star Wars Day this year, the Danish company announces the Lego Star Droid Commander set for Star Wars to publish, using the basic educational properties as a starting point to build a trio of classical robots. from the series.

Children can use the package to build R2-D2, Gonk and the Droid Mouse, guiding them on 40 different missions, while learning to build and coding in the process. It looks like an effective way of hiding the whole piece of learning behind the most beloved movie series of history. It is similar to the method adopted by Git Dvent Inventor Kit Bach a few years ago – although Lego has had a fairly remarkable history of using the Star Wars IP.

The set contains 1,177 pieces together with color and distance sensors and an interactive motor to get the robots to move. All this works with a new Boost Star Wars app, which will be available for Android, iOS and Fire devices, which include missions such as assisting an X-wing plane and trying captive rebels.

The system arrives on 1 September, timed for the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the final film in the sequential trilogy.
