María Corina Machado, national coordinator of the Venezuelan Vente party, said Thursday that the arrest of Iván Uzcátegui, president of Carabobo University University UC and Ramón Bravo, director of a dining room and study house, meant "a new shot to Venezuelan universities . "
"Nicolás Maduro's regime gives another blow to the Venezuelan university when arresting Iván Uzcátegui and Ramón Bravo, two young people who have not been silent, do not clog and challenge the dictatorship," said Machado in a shared video on Twitter.
The opposition leader also expressed his support to the authorities, employees and students of the university before what was described as victimization.
"I want to convey to the authorities of the university, the employees and the students that they have all the support of Venezuela, as well as the international community who are aware of the victimization against Iván to Ramón, "he added.
You are not alone in Venezuela and in the world with you.
