CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) – North Carolina has installed a basketball coach for Hall of Fame girls, Sylvia Hatchell, and three assistants on paid administrative leave amid players' concerns and our program is under review. the player's concerns.

The girls' basketball training staff are all suspended while the review takes place, says UNC-Chapel Hill.

UNC officials did not provide a timetable for the inquiry, but said that the "review will be thorough and timely."

The girls basketball team went 18-15 this season and finished 8-8 in the WRA.

Hall of Fame coach Hatchell 2013 is the leading women's basketball coach in the Atlantic Coast Conference history. She has a career record of 1,023-405 and has 751-325 marks in 33 years at UNC with a national title in 1994.

Hatchell became the third female coach in Division I with 1,000 career victories in 2017, made her 23rd career appearance in the NCAA last month and is the only coach with national championships on three levels – AIAW, NAIA and NCAA .

The Tar Heels finished their season with a first round defeat to California in the NCAA women's tournament.
