Mortal Director Kombat 11 hopes for DC vs Marvel Fight Ignites Injustice 3 Hype

Kombat 11 dies director Ed Boon has revealed his hopes for one particular battle against DC that has fueled the hype train Injustice 3, which has not been announced, but is believed to be in development for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, and possibly Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia as well. Many also believe it will release sometime next year based on the release pattern of the series and its relationship with Death of Kombat statements. That said, for now, this is just speculation. What he doesn’t speculate is that Boon wants to see Batman employ Spider-Man.

Of course, the chance that this will happen in a Death of Kombat game or slim to none. However, it is a possibility for Injustice 3 and future entries in the series. Or, of course, it could also happen with the Marvel vs DC fight game, though the chances of this ever being lit green are also slim to none.

Boon revealed his desire to see Spidey challenge Batman by quoting industry veteran David Jaffe, creator God of war a Twisted Metal, who loved the idea of Rambo vs Joker. For those who don’t know: the Joker and Rambo were added MK11 as DLC characters.

Again, will we ever see Spider-Man vs Batman in a fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios? Not likely, but fans who are excited about the prospect may at least take comfort in the fact that Boon is going to try to make this happen, and who knows, maybe it will happen with Injustice 3.

As always, feel free to leave a comment or two letting us know what you think or alternatively hit me up on Twitter @Tyler_Fischer_ and let me know there. Would love to see Marvel characters in Injustice 3 or should Marvel and DC let NetherRealm Studios make a Marvel vs DC match?
