Bengals QB Andy Dalton puts IR on the injured injury

Andy Dalton's quarterback Cincinnati Bengals was placed on an injured dam with a right shot injury suffered in Sunday 35-20 in Cleveland.

Jeff Driskel will start his first NFL against Denver this week in Dalton, and the team has claimed quarterback Tom Savage against output from San Francisco 49ers to support Driskel.

Dalton was injured on the fourth quarter of the third quarter after shooting from the Billy Price center over his head. Dalton ran back to restore the ball and tried to pick it up, but the Browns restored him. Dalton went straight to the side line and into the wardrobe room with athletics coaches and did not return.

Bengals coach, Marvin Lewis, said the initial scans did not show anything serious enough for Dalton to lose the rest of the season. His year, however, has now done.

Dalton has not lost a game since the 2015 season, when he tried to make a tape after throwing an intervention against the Steelers and cut his right thumb. Although Dalton avoided surgery, that season did not return, missing the last three final games and the AFC wildcard game. AJ McCarron, now with the Raiders, has been replaced.

Driskel completed 17 out of 29 tickets for 155 yards and touched in half football after taking Dalton's place. The Bengals have kept Driskel around since they claim waivers from the Niners in 2016. He was the third quarter of that season and spent the 2017 season on IR.

"I always know that we can play at this level," said Driskel. "I would not be here if I can not. But the more you'll go out and the more you'll play well, there will be more confidence that you will be. I have it in it and the people around are going to you. Just keep what I'm doing and continue to play well and give it chance for the team to win. "

The Bengals list has been deteriorated by injuries this season. Tyler Eifert, linebacker Preston Brown, did not tackle Ryan Glasgow's defensive protection, and Carl Lawson, defensive, ends on the IR, but Nickback Vigil and receiver A.J. Green has lost extended time. Left-handed at Cordy Glenn and the light corner of Dre Kirkpatrick are currently injured and can not play.

The Bengals started 4-1 and had a 73 per cent chance of making the playoffs after Week 5, per FPI. Since then they are 1-5 and have seen their FPI play chances turning to 4 percent.
