Verkhovna Rada approved the introduction of martial law in some regions of Ukraine

Rada Verkhovna gathered in an exceptional meeting to vote for a presidential decree No. 390/2018, according to which martial law stated in Ukraine.

The reason to declare martial law, the government calls the conflict in the Black Sea, which began on Sunday morning, and suddenly increased at night.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko provided with an appeal to the Ukrainian people. In his speech, Poroshenko announced that the martial law would be presented at 9:00 on November 29 and will last only 30 days, rather than 60.

– In December I will be submitting a draft decision to parliament on the date of the presidential election. In accordance with the Constitution, these elections will be held on March 31, 2019, the president wrote.

During his speech in Verkhovna Rada, the President of Ukraine said that the fighting law would be introduced only in some areas – Kherson, Vinnytsia, Luhansk, Odessa, Nikolaev, Kharkov, Sumy, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, along the coast of the Du and Azov seas.

About 21:30 p.m. On November 26, the deputies approved the bill. A total of 276 deputies voted in favor.
