Ajman University launches bachelor's program in "Civil Engineering" t


The University of Ajman has received the approval of the Academic Accreditation Commission in the Ministry of Education to deliver a Bachelor of Civil Engineering program within the College of Engineering and Information Technology programs as well as its programs in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering. Dr Kareem Al-Sagheer, Rector, said Ajman University's Civil Engineering undergraduate program was based on the University's desire to keep pace with the requirements of the local, regional and international labor market in different engineering areas. He noted that the aim of this program is to provide graduates with the job market qualified to work in different sectors of civil engineering from stages of design and design of the project through the period of preparation & # 39 The requirements, and start its implementation, with the ability to supervise the project until its completion.

Dr Kareem noted that the Bachelor of Civil Engineering program registration is currently open and will commence with the start of the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. Adding that the program has the quality and sensitivity of Ajman University. He stressed that this degree allowed applicants to apply for jobs in various consultancy, engineering and construction companies and various government bodies. Graduates of the Civil Engineering program can follow their higher education to develop their abilities and experience.

Dr Fahr Hayati, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, said that this program, which included 141 credit hours, falls within the framework of the College's strategy to deliver new programs that complement market need during the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He said that graduates of this program will be qualified to design and implement projects in four main areas of civil engineering, namely structural engineering, transport engineering, roads and traffic, soil engineering, foundations, water engineering and the environment.

In addition, graduates of this program will be eligible to play an active role in the design and implementation of various infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, ports and airports and the operation of water networks, sewerage networks and mechanical and industrial facilities. In addition to participating in the design and implementation of various residential building projects, schools, universities and hospitals and the work of the area, and calculating quantities, and developing specifications.
