Councilor Konrad Gisler (SVP) of the Old Government died on Saturday at the age of 94. The Zurich Government Council reported its departure with deep sadness, said Monday.

With Konrad Gisler, the Zurich government council lost former valuable colleagues, it does. Gisler was elected to the Government Council in 1977 and stood until his resignation in 1987 before the police and military directorate. In 1983/84 he presided over government advice.

The trained farmer worked from 1943-1959 as the municipality clerk part-time of the Burgundy borough. From 1959 to 1972 he was a full time urban clerk and then the head of the cooperative system in the dairy and dairy surgeries of the Nordostschweizerischer Societies in Winterthur.
