In 2019, a new new project by Bosch and Daimler starts. In San Jose California, a whole fleet of automatic vehicles from Stuttgart operations will bring customers from A to B. The test area was not overshadowed for a long time.
Stuttgart – Daimler and Bosch want to test their proposed travel-online service with automated vehicles in the city of San José in California. The pilot project has already been published in the summer, but the probation area has not yet been able to appoint it. Now a letter of intent has been signed with the megacity in Silicon Valley, it was said on Thursday.
The test has been scheduled to start in the second half of 2019 and shows how a whole fleet of autonomous vehicles can be integrated into the city transport network. As with a mix of taxi and car sharing, consumers order a vehicle, which then comes automatically to them and automatically brings them to a destination – together with a security driver.
