Covid analysis area by area as north Lincolnshire records tragic death in hospital in 200th

A further 167 people have tested positive for coronavirus in north Lincolnshire in just 24 hours.

The number of Covid-19 cases in North and North East Lincolnshire continues to rise, albeit more steadily than in recent weeks, with 109 more people with the virus in North East Lincolnshire and a further 58 in North Lincolnshire.

This brings North East Lincolnshire’s seven-day rolling total to 692 cases, with the rate of infection per 100,000 residents being 481.

In North Lincolnsire, 636 people have tested positive for the virus in the last seven days, bringing its infection rate to 466.

The latest figures, released by the Government on Saturday, come as north Lincolnshire records its 200th hospital patient sadly died of coronavirus since the pandemic began.

NHS England announced nine more deaths in hospitals in the region after testing positive for Covid-19.

Three occurred in October and six in November – with one on October 19, one on October 19, one on October 29, two on November 19 and four on November 20.

The Trust runs hospitals in Grimsby and Scunthorpe – but it has not been revealed in which hospitals the people died.

Each day’s new figure includes deaths reported by Trusts between 4pm two days before and 4pm the day before.
