A teenage girl is arrested for assaulting another student with a dangerous weapon outside ITE College West


SINGAPORE: A 17-year-old girl was arrested and another hospital was taken to hospital after an assault outside the West College of Technical Education Institute (ITE) on Thursday (Feb 21).

The Police Police (SPF) reported that he had been reported for a cause of voluntary damage by a dangerous weapon at 1 Cho Kang Grove, the school's address, just before 2pm on Thursday.

Police officers arrested a 17-year-old girl in relation to the incident. The other girl, also 17, was aware and was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

In a Facebook post late Friday, ITE confirmed that the assault involving two students had taken place outside ITE College West. It was reported that the injured student was released on the same day.

"The college shows what support is needed and has met the student's family," said Dr Goh Mong Song, head teacher at ITE College West.

"We take a serious look at the issue and do not motivate such behavior."

ITE confirmed that the girl arrested by police officers will be suspended from the school.

Investigations are underway, SPF said.
