SINGAPORE: Twenty-two people were taken to hospital after a car and bus collided on the Jurong Island Highway on Sunday morning (Dec. 6).
The Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to a road traffic accident along the Jurong Island highway at around 7am on Sunday.
The crash happened near the end of the highway, police said.
Twenty-one bus passengers, all men, were taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and National University Hospital (NUH), police said.
The driver of the car, a 42-year-old man, was also aware when he was transported to NUH.
They were all aware when they were taken to hospital, police said.
SCDF said eight people were transported to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, 11 people to NUH and three people to SGH.
A video circulating on social media showed a bus on its side and the front half of the car being crushed.
Police investigations are ongoing.
