Tigo leads to the extension of its optical fiber network to Sagemcom

This investment, the company explained that it reflected its commitment to supporting the Senegal companies in their digital transformation, so in their development. Indeed, the network's commitment to which Tigo has engaged has meant that more local companies will enjoy a quality connectivity that is beneficial to their business.

Beyond the business market, Tigo Senegal also targets fiber optic for the private sector. The company would like to expand its presence in the fiber optic segment at home, fully engaged with consumer demand for faster connectivity. The development of new materials such as video streaming, Internet TV, etc., is the case. "The partnership we have just signed up part of our strategy to use innovative technologies that will enable us to offer high performance digital services to individual customers and corporate customers." Currently, Tigo Senegal owns a strong 1,300-kilometer optical fiber network. According to the telecommunications company, its extension coincides with its ambition to connect all Senegal and promote the Internet to everyone, in accordance with the government's Senegal 2025 Digital Plan.
