Journalist Madiambal Diagne was chosen from among ECOWAS mission members to observe the presidential election scheduled for Oct. 31 in Côte d’Ivoire. Finally, the head of the Avenir Communication group will not be on the tour. It highlights poor preparation for this mission. “I finally gave up the ECOWAS Mission for observing the presidential election in Côte d’Ivoire. The conditions for organizing this mission did not commend me. People who said they were reassured by my co-option will understand my point of view, ”Madiambal Diagne tweeted.
The mission includes another Senegalese in this case Seydou Nourou Ba, former ambassador and president of Political Dialogue in Senegal, Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and President of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers, Head of Mission and the General Francis Béhanzin, ECOWAS Commissioner for Political, Peace and Security.
