Fitch confirms the score of Italy in BBB, negative prospects

February 22 (Reuters) – Fitch's grading agency confirmed the Swiss Friday sovereign rating of "BBB" with negative prospects highlighting the amount of public debt, seamless growth and uncertainty related to & Economic and financial policy.

Fitch rejected the possibility of the Italian score from standing to negative last August saying he expects the coalition government to refuse financial discipline.

Italy entered a recession at the end of 2018 and the European Commission predicts a growth of just 0.2% this year, while forecasting 1.2% in November.

This unexpected slowdown means that Rome could be difficult to cope with the budget deficit target of 2.04% of gross domestic product (GDP), a compromise that was difficult to reach with the European Commission in December .
