An earthquake off the coast of Turkey is being felt by residents of 5 Arab countries

An earthquake struck the coast of the Turkish province of Antalya, the consequences of which were felt by the inhabitants of Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Syria and Lebanon.

Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Organization “AFAD” said a magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit the Turkish coast, off the southern province of Antalya, according to Jordanian newspaper Al-Rai.

And the “Ammon” news agency reported that the inhabitants of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt and Cyprus were feeling the earthquake.

Dr. El-Kady, President of the National Institute for Astronomical Research in Egypt, says that an earthquake occurred in the Mediterranean region a while back.

Al-Qadi explained to the Echo of the Country website that the strength of the earthquake, with a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 80 kilometers, was felt by Cairo residents and the coastal governors, and no casualties or house losses were detected .
