Oppo Reno 5 Pro + 5G will have a texture-changing back; Here are his other specifications

Next week, on December 10, the Oppo Reno 5 smartphone series will take place, and its flagship is Oppo Reno 5 Pro + 5G. Today we’re discovering some interesting details about this smartphone, and besides having a Snapdragon 865 processor, it’s brings back the concept of “electrochromic glass”.

Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G Plus

I had seen something like this on the OnePlus Concept Phone from CES 2020. It had electrochromic glass, which made its rear camera invisible. Technology was inspired by McLaren cars. Now something like this hits the Oppo, probably next to a layer of leather, set like in the OnePlus Concept. Given the online renderings, the Reno 5 Pro + 5G looks like the Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G at first glance, displaying a rear quad camera. Featuring a 50 megapixel Sony IMX7xx sensor, Oppo will be the first to adopt the sensor.

Then we have a 12 megapixel telephoto camera with 2X or 3X optical zoom. The third camera is a 16 megapixel 16 ultrawide camera, and the fourth is not yet known. It can be a ToF, Bokeh, laser, Macro or even LiDAR sensor. Possibly a temperature sensor, as we’ve seen in other phones. In the last few hours, I also discovered that the Oppo Reno 5 series would have cases that light up in the dark. The new phones will come with a 6.43 inch and 6.55 inch OLED screen, with a refresh rate of 90 Hz or maybe even fishing on the Pro + version.

All handsets running Android 11 with ColorOS 11 applied over and over. I have to admit, of all the leaks, I was fascinated by the dark look and the electrochromic back. Other companies under the umbrella of BBK, Realme or Vivo may take over the technology sponsored by OnePlus Concept One.
