S.and if the mission is successful, it will make China the third country after the United States and the former Soviet Union to bring moon rocks to Earth.
According to the Chinese media, quoting China’s National Space Administration, a container with two kilos of rocks was transferred to the module.
A capsule carrying the rock samples is expected to land in the Inner Mongolia region in the middle of this month.
These will be the first moon surface samples that scientists have obtained since the Soviet Union’s Luna 24 probe in 1976.
