Even before the holidays, there was even talk of revoking the RTV subscription. The television fee would then be charged differently – for example, with electricity bills. The new rules on cancellation of the subscription fee have not taken effect, but … new fee rates have appeared for 2021.
From 2021, the rates for RTV subscription will rise. You will have to pay a little more for an RTV subscription. Everyone with a radio or TV set should pay for the RTV subscription. The subscription fee is charged once, no matter how many receivers we have.
Poczta Polska states that from 2021 onwards we will pay for the RTV subscription:
- for 1 month for a radio receiver – PLN 7.50 (if the subscriber pays the monthly fee, then the fee for the 12 month period will be PLN 90.00).
- for 1 month for a television set or TV and radio set – PLN 24.50 (if the subscriber pays the monthly fee, the fee for the 12 month period will be PLN 294.00).
- In addition, those who pay the full-year RTV subscription through January 25, 2021, can rely on a 10% discount.

We pay PLN 47.50 for the use of a television set or TV and radio with a discount for a period of 2 months. With a discount for 3 months, the fee will be PLN 70.60. Maybe a free RTV subscription eventually with the account taken over by the Treasury? Gazeta Wyborcza reports that such an unpleasantness has met their reader. According to reports, the tax offices seize pensioners’ accounts and take the subscription due from them, even if the pensioner does not use television. It is enough for the elderly to forget to deregister the recipient. If we are asked to pay the RTV subscription due, we can apply for the debt to be divided into installments.
