Gilbert Bayoran (The Philippine Star) – November 11, 2018 – 12:00 a.m.

DINAS BACOLOD, Philippines – The relatives of farm workers killed in Sagay, Negros Occidental, last month have explained the reports that killed the human rights lawyer Benjamin Ramos were their counsel.

"Hindi namin siya kilala (We do not know him)," says Nove Bantigue, the husband of one of the deaths.

Joemar Cañete said that his wife died in the crash, that none of their family had met with Ramos.

Before his murder, Ramos was reported to assassinate the victims of the murder's victims.

Relatives of deaths were presented at a press conference on Friday to refuse such reports.

Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, chief executive of the Sagay police, said eight-year-olds of the nine deaths had tried to defend the police.

Military groups have accused state security forces involved in the slaughter of Ramos, a member of the National Union of People's Solicitors.

Duterte presided the Lord on the allegations, saying he would not even kill lawyers as he repeated his call to law enforcement officers to arrest land recorders.

Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, Western Visayas police director, said Ramos had provided legal aid to farmers accused of seizing land, which were "disruptive landlords and legitimate land beneficiaries."

Which illegal gaming?

Meanwhile, the widow of Ramos expressed astonishing over the claims from the Philippine National Police that illegal gaming was among the potential incentives for his murder.

In an interview with the Aksyon Radyo MBC, Clarissa Ramos said her husband had been supervised for several years to handle the causes of slaughter operators.

Last year, Clarissa said her husband had included in the military list of communist rebels.

Michael de la Concepcion or Bayan-Negros said and the police should investigate the Brigade 303 Surgery for the start of a villification campaign against Ramos, indicating a poster that was released where the solicitor was has tagged as a communist rebel.
