If you have played Spider-Man Insomniac video game and hungry for more of that incarnation of Peter Parker, Marvel Comics' newest Spider-Man series will be right for you. New miniseries of the name Spider-Man: Velocity will rise where the game leaves and reveals the secrets of Spider-Man's Velocity.
As revealed by Marvel.com, Spider-Man: Velocity will first appear in August, following Spider-Man's collection: City at War (which modifies the game's game). Again Velocity will be written by Dennis "Hopeless" of the City at War, with art of Emilio Laiso (Star Wars: Doctor Aphra) and Skan covers.
Velocity will rise after the game's events, as Peter continues to struggle to balance his personal life and life as a hero. A new conflict arises as Spider-Man battles the supervisor of the name Swarm in trying to defend Mary Jane as she launches a new investigation alongside legendary reporter Ben Urich.
This series will also detail the origin of the speed suit, exploring why Peter designed this advanced, sticky costume and what role he plays in his ongoing battle to defend New York.
The speed adjustment was designed by the artist Adi Granov and was one of a number of original costumes to appear in the PS4 game. For more information on Spidey's extensive wardrobe, here's our analysis of all 28 uniforms included in the original game (although there have been some additions since):
Spider-Man: Velocity will run for six issues and will start in August 2019.
