Health officials say a 7-month-old baby in Orange County and a graduate living in Los Angeles County are the latest cases of measles in California.
Orange County healthcare agency said Saturday that the baby, who was too young to be vaccinated, was being treated in an emergency room beginning April 28 and staying in hospital.
The Orange County Register reports that the student, man, is recovering at home in Long Beach. Officials say he could have disclosed people to measles at Ir Irvine College and many other locations dating back to April 28.
The incidence of measles in an LA County is 8. Orange County has 2 confirmed cases.
Authorities are urging people to be immunized and to learn the symptoms of the highly infectious illness.
