Breeding sites removed from Aedes aegypti at Bella Vista and San Luis del Palmar


The Ministry of Public Health of the Province, through the General Secretariat of Epidemiology, carried out operations to combat dengue in San Luis del Palmar and Bella Vista, eliminating several breeding sites for the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
In San Luis del Palmar, the work was carried out after the storm that banned the weekend. In this regard, General Director of Epidemiology, Gustavo Fernandez, said "a promotional team and a brigade vector travel to evacuation centers, providing conflicts, leaflets, alcohol in gel and checking that the insects are free. In some cases, insect insecticide was used in the interior and a reduction in outdoor space, "he added.
Finally, Public Health was also the 15th Fishing Competition held in Bella Vista. "A vector stall was placed in the party that took place in that town, where objects broadcasting and information booklets on the prevention of vector diseases were given to people who went to the fishing tournament," said Fernandez. In the tasks, Fernández became deputy director of Zoonoses and Vector Management of the General Directorate of Epidemiology and Regional Pathologies, Luis Insaurralde.
