One person died after the car that ended at the E6 mountain wall at Hommelvik, Monday afternoon. No other vehicle was associated with the accident.
Dying on site
The driver, a man, was stuck in the car, and he was aware of when the emergency services arrived at the site of the accident.
"Life-saving treatment was given, but life was impossible to save," said Ann Kristin Øie at Trøndelag Police District.
The dead man was confirmed just before seven o'clock in the morning.
Skin across the road
– The car drove to the address to the south, and washed into a lane when it came out of the tunnel. The car continued off the road, hit the mountain wall
and eventually ended on the roof, "said Karl Småland, deputy police leader at the accident site.
There were a number of witnesses to the accident, according to the deputy leader.
The discharge tunnel is closed
"We are waiting for police crime engineers. The accident group will also be announced to Norwegian Public Administration, said Småland.
The tunnel is closed due to the accident. It's spilled through Hommelvik / Gevingåsen.
