Slipknot Percussionist Shawn “Clown” thanked fans for their messages of support after the death his daughter Gabrielle on 18 May.
The 22-year-old was the youngest of four children in the Crahan family. No cause of death has yet been revealed.
“Chantel, Alexandria, Gage, Simon and I would like to thank everyone for the endless love, prayers, thoughts and kindness we have been receiving,” wrote Crahan in statement release through the band's social media channels. “Although I can't read and respond to every single message and comment at the moment, I want you to know that we can feel that the energy is shared and we are so grateful. You've all proved that empathy, a positive attitude and strength in this community we call our humanity here on Earth. ”
He added: “There will be a funeral for my daughter Gabrielle on Sunday, 26 May. Flowers can be sent to the Scottish Rite Conference in Des Moines. Cards and sympathy can be directed to Iles Funeral Home in Des Moines. Thank you endlessly, Shawn and family. ”
After Crahan's Gabrielle pass, the band, Corey Taylor, pulled: “My heart has broken for my brother. Keep the Crahan family in your mind and your love. It will be lost. ”
Slipknot had just started duties to promote their sixth album We are not kind, which is released on August 9. t North American Tour starts July 26 at Mountain View, Calif.
