ITUMELENG Khune has suggested that the Bafana players Bafana, and not necessarily the coach and Safa, have much to do with Thulani Serero returning to the national team set up after a year out in the cool.

Serero has been located in the Netherlands included in the 23-man squad Stuart Baxter to face Nigeria in their East Nations Cup qualification in 2019 on Saturday despite his unfortunate comments that he would only report a duty if sure to be at the beginning.

Serero has not yet taken part in any of the four Afghan Bafana qualification.

"I grew up with Thulani, our houses were just one robot from each other, and so we're very close. When it comes to the country, house or I go to her, "said Khune. "We've been talking a lot about it to come back because the team needed it. We just heard from the media that it did not play for Bafana.

"But everyone is forgiven. We're a family here and realized Tulani that he had made a mistake and told me he would speak to Safa and the trainer for being available again."

For the game on Saturday, here are the four consecutive clean leaflets for Bafana in their Afcon qualification campaign, the goalkeeper becomes positive by Khune, not the fact that Nigeria has no top scorer Healing Odium.

Baxter men are not being met in Group E, who is led by the Super Eagles by one point, before this game this weekend.

Much of a strong Nigeria attack led by Ighalo, which has bagged six goals during the qualification, was done.

But with a start based on a Chinese now injured and withdrawn, Khune chose to enjoy the Bafana record of clean sheets instead of showing relief that would not face Ighalo on Saturday.

"I think we should focus ourselves at the moment because four clean sheets in the same number of games are a very good record," said Khune 31.

"We're impractical, we have not agreed one goal and we've scored eight goals in those games. So that's what we are looking at, but we're still saying tell us that we must keep our feet firmly on the ground and keep looking for more. "

Khune will have led four sides that have changed several times since South Africa beat Nigeria 2-0 during the opening round of Afcon's qualification in June last year.

At the Godswill Akpabio Stadium at the time, Baxter had won the captain of Thulani Hlatshwayo with Eric Mathoho in central defenses while Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Tebogo Langerman lived in full positions respectively.

Mathoho and Langerman have since given her photo from the picture, but this is not something that Khune is missing.

He has become accustomed to her at club level where coach Kaizer Chiefs Giovanni Solinas has been constantly criticized for breaking and changing her defender.

"We are still looking at marketing our protection as we wish. We do not focus too much on who they are coming – whether there is a Caille there or not," said Khune.
