201 people have died of the effects of Ebola since the cases in June in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
That's what the Congolese Ministry of Health has to BBC let them know. About half of the victims come from the city of Beni, in the North Kivu region.
The ministry also reports that 25,000 people in the region have been vaccinated against the disease.
On Friday, the ministry has already announced that this is the worst occasion ever in the country. At least 319 people have received the virus.
Assaulting rebels on medical teams ensures that everyone can not be vaccinated and that the disease may spread more easily. "If the doctors are attacked, they must give them the best and everything is paid," said a ministry spokesman. "This way the virus starts.
The spokesman said that two support workers were killed in such attacks.
There have been armed conflicts between several rebellious groups and the Congo army for many years in the Kivu North region.
