Two years after they retreated from Cairn Energy and Kosmos Energy due to their activities in the Sahara, Norway's sovereign wealth fund has decided to replace the two oil groups. The announcement was made on Tuesday by Bank of Norway. The largest sovereign wealth fund in the world (almost $ 1 trillion) will be able to invest again in the two oil companies.
Kosmos Energy had stopped its activities in Boujdour last February after unsuccessful searches. Cairn had started acting off the Canaries before looking forward to West Africa, especially in Senegal.
