The Egyptian squad under 23 will play its Algerian counterparts on November 19 at the Al-Salam stadium in Cairo as part of preparing both teams before the forthcoming official games, said the Egyptian Football Federation on Wednesday.
As well as the game against Algeria, the Egyptians will play their first friendly against Tunisia on November 15 at the Borg Al Arab (Alexandria) annex stadium, the Egyptian federation said on its official website.
In anticipating these two friendly games, the Italian U23 team Chawki Gharib teamed on 27 players to take part in an internship from 11 November.
The Algerian U23 selection, which has been exempted from the first round, will face the winner of the double conflicts between Guinea's Equestrian and Sao Tome and Principe in the second round of qualification for the UN Cup U23 CAN- 2019.
Algerians will move to the first leg before holding their opponent in double conflicts that will take place between March 18 and 26, 2019.
In the case of qualification, the Algeria team will face in the third final qualification and winner of the conflict between Gabon and the winner of the game between Ghana and Togo.
The final stage of the UN Cup of U23 from 8 to 22 November 2019 will be held in Egypt.
This eight-country event qualifies for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The first three are eligible for the JO2020.
Before the final stage of CAN2019, the African Football Confederation will organize three preliminary preliminary rounds: (12-20 November 2018, 18-26 March 2019 and 3-11 June 2019).
Algeria took part in the 2016 Olympic Games football tournament in Rio de Janeiro thanks to a second place in CAN 2015 under 23 in Senegal.
The 13 countries of the first qualifying round were exempted: Algeria, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tunisia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
