AND PHOTO AKAA, new African contemporary art talents in Paris

Many artists regret the world of art. One says, "African contemporary art has been around since the 1960's. Being an African artist is a kind of gettoisation that I can not stand, I'm an artist and I'm African." But Victoria Mann, director of AKAA, states: "Our first mission is to decommission and undo geographers. Our selection criteria, this is not the nationality or workplace and workplace, proof of claiming a link to Africa. (…) The idea is to recreate a map of contemporary art, to be placed in the middle of Africa, and this center to see all the axis, all eyes, all the pieces, created south-south, south-south and south.
