KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd said on Friday that executive group chief executive, Datuk Bazlan Osman, has resigned effectively immediately.
The company, when filing with the stock exchange, said Bazlan had left other interests.
Bazlan, 54, was appointed to June in June following the release of Datuk Seri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly. He will continue as the company's executive director until February 28, 2019 as part of a transition contract.
To fill out the vacancy at the top, TM has appointed the current chief executive officer Imri Mokhtar to assume the role of CEO of an action group from November 16.
"I would like the whole board, managers and TM will record our incredible appreciation for Bazlan for his guidance and contribution to the group," said chairman of Tan Sri Sulaiman Mahbob in a statement.
"We are particularly welcome and grateful for its intention to continue facilitating the transfer of leadership to Imri until February 28, 2019."
Imri, 45, is a Home home talent that has a strong background in strategy and business operations, and is currently supervising TM Group business operations.
