AirAsia Group achieves the best seven stars for Covid-19 health scores



KUALA LUMPUR (Nov. 22): All airlines within the AirAsia Group have been awarded the top seven stars for Covid-19 health ratings by aviation safety experts at AirlineRatings.com following the recent implementation of several industry innovations to make flying more seamless, hygienic. , and unattached than ever before.

As outlined on the AirlineRatings.com website, airlines are judged against seven criteria, AirAsia said in a statement today.

These include website information on Covid-19 procedures, wearing face masks, crew personal protective equipment, customized meal service, regular airline cleaning, personal sanitation kits, and social distance on board, he said.

“It was concerning to discover that many airlines did not appear to comply with the agreed Covid-19 standards for passenger and crew protection.

“That is changing and our team is reviewing compliance weekly. AirAsia was one of the first airlines to aggressively adopt all of the recommendations,” AirlineRatings.com’s chief editor Geoffrey Thomas was quoted as saying.

“These are based on the criteria set out by the International Air Transport Association, the International Civil Aviation Organization, and the World Health Organization on regional and international safety guidelines,” he added.

Earlier last week, AirAsia announced its newest innovation, Scan2Fly – an industry-leading technology that can determine a passenger’s eligibility to fly before it arrives at the airport, including real-time validation of relevant health documents.

AirAsia also confirmed a number of other recent enhancements already underway, including automated bag drop services, roaming technology for temperature checking, and biometric surface recognition technology FACES (Rapid Airport Clearance Experience System) – the company’s contactless face recognition passenger processing system flying.
