Jovita Juodsnukytė, a pharmacist at Eurovaistinė, says that the most important vitamins for strengthening immunity, memory and eyes are now getting less attention from customers. Vitamins C, D and fish oil are most commonly used to maintain immunity.

The pharmacist comments on their benefits:

Vitamins C. It is almost always a customer favorite. Vitamin C is available in many forms – syrup, capsules, tablets. All forms of vitamin C are well absorbed by the body, but best liquid forms, especially those that are liposomal. Long-acting capsules and vitamins are also very well absorbed, as they are gradually absorbed by the body, so it lasts longer.

Vitamin D. This substance is very often used to maintain immunity. Like vitamin C, this substance can be used in many forms. The same rule applies – the body absorbs liposomal best. Vitamin D can also be injected, a form that is absorbed particularly quickly. A vitamin D spray is convenient to use, it can be kept in a handbag or car, it doesn’t need to add water, so it can be used anywhere.

Fishoil. They are available in liquid or capsules at the pharmacy, and gums are available for children. Adults usually choose capsules because liquid fish oil is not very tasty, but it is important to note that it is a better absorbed liquid, so choosing this type of fish oil is recommended whenever that’s possible.

The pharmacist also reminds that vitamins and food supplements cannot replace a healthy diet and lifestyle, so you should not forget to eat a variety of foods, be physically active, and often ventilate the building.
