The LiveWire motorcycle story began when presenting the prototype in 2014. It reflected the vision and potential of Harley-Davidson electric vehicle. After long testing and intense development, Harley-Davidson LiveWire can provide new and powerful experiences for motorcyclists. The motorcycle is powered by an electric motor, and therefore has a striking acceleration. It's enough to turn the accelerator, as it does not have a clutch or device. The center of low gravity, rough aluminum frame and high quality adjustable suspension gives an outstanding dynamics of LiveWire. Its power and ride distance has to make it fit for urban motorcyclists.
LiveWire is powered by an electric motor with a permanent magnet that maximizes the maximum torque when the accelerator is turned. The engine has set low, creating a low gravity center. So, the motorcycle has managed it well at different speeds and is easy to control as it is stopped. LiveWire emits extended audio when the motorcycles travel. It reflects the smooth power output.

Engineering supports machine dynamics. I've been designed to provide driving and control goals on the city streets and roundabouts. The engine is one of the components of the aluminum frame, making the LiveWire extremely robust. Also, the motorcycle has the highest quality adjustable Showa suspension. The back is absorbing SHOWA BFRC-eye single shock and SHOWA SFF-BP in front. The last one allows you to adjust to the dynamics of the back shock absorb and work great at low speeds. Ideal combination and management in typical urban situations.
The top of the LiveWire has Brembo Monoblock brakes with double 300mm disks. Motorcycle braking is accurate. These senses are enhanced by the Brake Assist (ABS) and Traction Control (TCS). The systems are already available in the standard LiveWire equipment, along with Scorcher Michelin tires (180mm back and 120mm in front). A driver can select Dynamic LiveWire features of 7 drive modules. 4 have already developed by the manufacturer and 3 can be adapted to meet their needs.
The colorful and sensitive-touch display has to be installed above the steering wheel and it delivers the most important information clearly. Adjustable height allows the driver to choose the most comfortable situation. On a sensitive touch screen, you can control Bluetooth, navigation, music and other settings.
The LiveWire mainstream lithium-ion bundle has to be protected by an aluminum box used. The motorcycle has a smaller 12-volt lithium-ion battery that supplies energy to light, signal, screen and other functions. Charging the motorcycle is possible with the first level charger of the home power output. It also operates the second and third level fast loading systems with the SAE J1772 connection with the US market or the CCS2-IEC connection for the international market. All LiveWire motorcycle from Harley-Davidson vendors will have a public charging station.
The LiveWire style reflects its power and Harley-Davidson design core component, focusing on the engine. Just like the V-Twin engine as the most brilliant stone in the Harley-Davidson crown, LiveWire is the first to take a look at its engine. Its mechanical appearance and muscles drive the power of the motorcycle. In addition, the aluminum battery box has styling with cool plates. The frame has to paint with special technology and so it's similar to anodized metal. The silhouette is formed by a line that extends from the battery, which extends to the back of the back vehicle. In the meantime, the wing is so close to the wheel that is not almost visible.
Harley-Davidson LiveWire will be launching next year, with more details and an ordering order in advance in January 2019.
