The agreement will facilitate the establishment of direct links and cooperation between the cultural institutions of both countries and cooperation in all cultural and artistic areas as well as in the audiovisual sector. The agreement provides for cultural exchanges and participation in diverse cultural activities, including international cultural events held in both countries.
The agreement provides for collaboration between archives, museums, libraries and cultural heritage protection institutions in both countries.
To date, the collaboration of Latvian cultural sector representatives with Argentina has been quite apt – Argentina's directors have worked with the theater festival Homo Novus makers (Mariano Pensotti in 2007), Latvian National Opera and Ballet, performed a monophonic ballet (choreographer Maurisio Vainrots in 2009), individual groups and performers have participated in music and ballads in Latvia. The Latvian artist Kaspars Lielgalvis has been involved in the Argentinean exhibition in 2008.
