Lahh lakh vaccine Frequency (MR) gave over 27.85 children during a continuous vaccination campaign across Jammu and Kashmir, said official spokesman on Saturday. The campaign was launched on September 24 to include almost 38 lakh children in the age group from nine months to 15 years to eliminate the indigenous rubella syndrome, caused by rubella virus.
"A total of 37,72,960 children will be included in the state, of whom 27,85,731 have been vaccinated up to a date with 17,00,994 children enrolled in the Kashmir department and 10,84,737 in the Jammu department, "said spokesman.
It is expected that the campaign will end by the end of this month against the deadline scheduled on October October. The measles-rubbish campaign indicates the introduction of rubella vaccine into the Indian childhood immunization program for the first time.
