Swapna Barman's Asian Gold gold medal will receive seven pairs of suitable shoes, one for different Heptathlon events, Adidas sports horses announced on Monday.

Swapna, who became the first Indian to win an heptathlon gold medal in the Asian Games held earlier this year, was born with six toes in his throat. His emphasis was highlighted after cooking the gold medal at the Jakarta Games.

Over the past two months, Adidas has worked extensively with authorities in India and their own Athletic Services laboratory at the headquarters in Germany to try and answer for Swapna, says a media statement.

After a detailed breakdown of foot, the brand has decided to support Swapna by designing suitable high performance shoes and will give her seven unique pairs, one for seven different Heptathlon events.

"In adidas we believe that, by sport, we have the power to change lives and Swapna is a great example of this. We are very pleased to welcome Swapna to the family of adidas," says Sean Van Wyk, Senior Marketing Director, Adidas India.

"It's an honor for any sports person to be associated with the adidas family. I realized my dream of winning a gold medal to India, I'm preparing to realize my next dream of winning Gold Olympic to India, "said Swapna.

"I'm looking forward to training and competing in my new shoes and with the continued help of adidas, I'm sure I will continue to improve as an athlete," he added.
