The light in Luz Stadium out, but four figures were visible in the distance in the center circle of the arena in Lisbon. They sat surrounded by glittering confetti. You couldn’t hear anything, but this picture said more than a thousand words anyway. Joshua Kimmich, David Alaba, Serge Gnabry and Hansi Flick he enjoyed Bayern’s triple victory understandably. For Bayern coach, “one of my personal moments in 2020”.
Flick fondly remembers that magical night, which is only logical, because she crowned her success story after less than a year in office. However, the 55-year-old player is also taking the year that is coming to an end – and so terribly tiring – as an opportunity to give a more comprehensive summary. In club magazine 51 he looks at what has been achieved so far – but also says: “If I’m not permanently ready for the extra parameter, then I have no place in Bavaria.”
Flick’s first game against Dortmund: Courageous Line-up and a 4-0 win
These words are not supposed to be threatening in any way, Flick is content with his professionals, he has “no concerns” about lack of motivation in the post-triple season. But he wants to point out that Bayern “doesn’t need players who just jump as high as they have to jump”. The will to subject everything to daily success is part of it The DNA of this club. He lives it – not for nothing Karl-Heinz Rummenigge praises: “I would call this style we play today the FC Bayern style.” He had suffered a bit in recent years, but has been back since Flick took office.
“Knowing exactly where you stand” is what the professionals value about their trainer. This is what Thomas Müller says, which Flick described as brave from day one – still a temporary coach. Flick also remembers his first Bundesliga match, where he had to deliver against BVB. He bet on an offensive line – and when his players asked if it could be done, he replied: “Yes, we can do it!” The game ended 4-0.

FC Bayern under flicker: never adapt to the opponent, always do your own thing
Flick knows what he wants, to him “this question has to be asked Play it safe to go, never asked ”. Müller says, “it never stops thinking outside the box”. The focus is always on the “view that FC Bayern needs clear DNA”. Flick describes them with the words: “Possession of the ball, defeat, attacking goals.” When he was a player, he said: “The main thing is to win! FC Bayern has always defined itself through success, but today the way you win is part of it. ” Bayern don’t adapt to the opponent under Flick, but do their thing.
Although Flick says football is allowed “never be dogmatic“He has clear ideas, which he is responsible for internally. He is considered a controversial spirit, but people on the upper floors of Säbener Straße say: This is exactly why he has changed from acting head coach to head coach – and should wait a long time. He has not yet had a real crisis of moderation, although he knows that “you are growing up in difficult times in sport”.
If one comes in 2021, it would be ready. He has the trust of the chiefs. “Hansi is a gift for FC Bayern”said Rummenigge. But that really suits Christmas. – Hanna Raif
