Aldi workers experience new uniforms: The customer also has something


A few months ago, Aldi had made headlines with a strategy change. Just like Kaufland or Lidl, the supermarket chain has decided to score with declining brand products among its customers. For example, consumers were able to buy Coca Cola or a Kerrygold butter at a discounted price.

Aldi breaks this routine into a long standing taboo – as only the red pencil had been set for private labels to date. Although brand products were advertised in the prospectus, they were available from Aldi at the general prices. Particularly for competitors such as Lidl, Penny or Kaufland, changing the group's strategy could be dangerous.
