The drugs to screens can cause obesity

The addiction to cell phones and screens in general can not be good. There's something that's in a simple ordinary sense that someone can enjoy. But more and more emerging studies are warning that new technologies have negative consequences.

A new American study carried out among more than 177,000 students suggests that inadequate sleeping times are linked to an unhealthy lifestyles profile among children and young people. An adequate period of sleep was associated with unhealthy eating habits, such as breakfast skipping. Around 40% of the school's children in the study slept less than recommended. The results of the study were published in the October 15 edition of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.

The American Academy Sleep Academy recommends that 6 to 12 year olds sleep nine to twelve hours regularly for a healthier lifestyle. On the other hand, young people between the ages of 13 and 18 should sleep between 8 and 10 hours.

Sufficient sleeping produces higher levels of energy during the day. Children who said that they usually slept less than nine hours a day, and young people sleeping less than eight hours a day, had been classed so as not to have enough sleep.

A higher proportion of men than women (42.3% against 37.3%) and children compared with young people (42.1% against 32.8%) indicated that they did not sleep enough. The adolescents also had lower aerobic fitness and were related to sleeping.

What happens when we sleep less than adequate?

When we sleep less than the hours that are owed, there is an increase in all the hormones that increase the feeling of hunger and desire to foods that fat and sugars. One hour of difference during sleeping can put mechanisms in place to maintain weight.

There are two hormones associated with food changing times with sleeping hours such as leptin, which prevents the feeling of hunger, and ghrelin, which triggers the need. There are less sleeping hours, fewer leptin concentrates and the grine line increases. The result is that the smaller we sleep, the more we want to eat. That is why, if we sleep at least eight hours a day, we will have more opportunities to maintain adequate weight and fight obesity.

An accurate dream produces higher levels of energy during the day. So sleeping children may well be more physically active during the day and, therefore, have more aerobic ability.

The data from the surveys in Colombia shows that children between the ages of 5 and 12 have 67.7% too much time ahead of the screens. Excessive time is one that is more than two hours a day in front of these devices.

The figure rises to 76.6% among young people. Modern electronic media makes it difficult to manage hours on the screen. All of this has changed the habits and more prominent in children and young people. The on-screen hours suggest a lack of sleep that leads to a lifestyle and obesity worse.

Studies have shown that the brightness of the screens at night is dangerous and declining and the opinion. In addition, it creates a severe brain disorder, the lungogard cheats the brain, which is interpreted as a long night. These sleep imbalances and timetables are converted to a bad lifestyle. In addition to obesity in the short and medium term.

For children who correspond to lower levels of physical activity, increased muscle growth, lower school performance, sleep disorders, social interaction problems, aggression, alcohol use and cigarettes and lack of attention. An international study of the Asthma and Allergies in the Three-Year Children's Term, which included 37 countries, confirmed that the direct relationship between the increase in the number of hours spent watching TV and body mass index (BMI).

An adequate period of sleep in children is a serious health problem. It is also underestimated in today's society and it's something that should be monitored and corrected. Manage the hours ahead of the screens, stimulate sports, outdoor activities, get products in the fridge that are rich in protein nutrients, more fruit and vegetables, reduce sugar drinks and restrict the consumption of food from packages.
