This Wednesday afternoon, the death of Puerto Rican salsa singer Cano Estremera, who apparently had recently undergone a lung transplant, was confirmed.
His wife, Yamira Arce, confirmed the news via a post on Facebook, where he noted that “my heart is broken, I have no comfort.” The 62-year-old salsa singer would have died in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Carlos Enrique Estremera Colón, better known as Cano Estremera, performed well-known salsa songs such as ‘A me’, ‘Amor de medio tiempo’ and ‘Social Friday’.
In his long career ‘Dueño del soneo’, his time with Bobby Valentín’s orchestra, from 1978 to 1988, is also remembered.
