"The pinochetism is inevitable in relation to breaking DD.HH"

There were a few times when deputy RN, Marcela Sabat, had thought of leaving the party in military 18 years ago. He is recognized by the "liberal" sector of Chile Vamos, and although he does not share his camila Camila Flores or does not share the issue as he did, he will continue to fight and say it is the "authentication of the liberal sector centers" for a community.

In this interview, he discusses the discussion on pinochetism, said that this issue can not be integrated with the diversity of the sector and it is worried that candidates will be raised outside & # 39 ; the coalition, referring to the proximity of RN deputies with José Antonio Kast.

What happened to you when you heard Deputy Camila Flores saying she was a Pinochetist and had received approval in the RN Council?

There are a number of questions. From the less conservative sector there is also pain, stimulation and surprise. Because we all know that two souls fit with valuable, liberal and conservative terms that enrich our ideas within the RN. In general, our differences are based on that, but when diversity is anchored to Pinochetism, we also anchor what this means and that's what it has to do against Human Rights crimes and with many situations that have caused a lot of pain to Chile. So approval is causing pain.

Do you think it's upsets for your party and the sector?

I am worried that this situation will take us to the past, by a majority set up in the National Renewal when we renew our principles. We are a party that wants to talk about the future, which wants to deal with social issues and this can be counterproductive.

Under the presidency of Cristián Monckeberg, in 2014, the allusion of the dictatorship was erased from the RN's statement of principles. Are you surprised that this happens in your party?

What worries me is that the variety that we have in RN, presented as a positive feature, is misinterpreted and its boundaries are dispersed. In my opinion as a positive feature of a party, a Pinochetism protection, I am concerned, especially if we continue to maintain our own principles where there is any anti-democratic regime, any form of political violence or contrary to Human Rights is condemned. Here nobody is waiting but there are limits.

The current president of his party, Mario Desbordes, valued that variety in RN and even the government. Is it lawful to condemn Human Rights crimes in the dictatorship but assess potential contribution to country organizations?

Penochetism is inevitable in the face of Human Rights. For that reason, of the pain that I'll get up and about. He has to do with how we are now looking at the future and the center in the social policy, when these voices reappear. I am concerned about the work of recent years in the line of looking at the future and condemning the breach of human rights. We go down to the inconsistency where communism falls when it condemns the dictatorship in Chile alone and celebrates Maduro or Castro.

You have defined yourself as part of the "liberal mediation" in your sector. For what has happened in recent weeks, do you already feel in a minority within the RN and Chile? Come on?
That is not in question. By the majority, we changed the RN principles three years ago; There is a fixed issue. We are much more thinking in the future, in diversity as an opportunity to integrate different people who are similar to us, but in any case that pass our principles, counterproductive.

On many occasions and when the differences have taken place as those that you are raising today, you have thought about leaving your party. Will you resign?

Na. The challenge is much more, the verification of centers to the most liberal sector, and to make the organizational framework. That is why we must encourage the existence of a liberal RN with information about the case, which has been protected and encouraged as the conservative sector. Today, with more reason we have a president like Mario Desbordes who also defends liberal ideas that help.

But Deputy Desbordes defends that the subject can be shared …

The reason is that these suspicions are settled when one reads the statement of principles that we have voted three years ago. Let's not be stuck on issues in the past and look at the future. The argument has already settled. My party's president condemns Human Rights crimes.

Deputy Desbordes condemns Human Rights crimes but appreciates that the Pinochet sector is RN that shares the issue …

I repeat, it seems to me that Pinochetism and the breach of human rights are inevitable. We have settled three years ago with more than 80% of the vote at the National Council. I am concerned that we fall into the inconsistency that we condemn and the Communists when they celebrate Maduro and Castro and condemn the Chile dictatorship.

Do you worry that most of the deputies who have shown themselves are close to José Antonio Kast of your party?

What worries me is not the proximity, but the unnecessary thing that is currently to raise presidential candidacies outside the party, not only for the harm to internal leadership , but also to the presidential figure Sebastián Piñera. It is only in a first year of Government and we have to strengthen its leadership and internal relations of the coalition, the rest is to make political fiction.

Deputy Desbordes said yesterday that he had no problems in the fact that José Antonio Kast was taking part in the University of Chile Vamos and, even if he had won, he would support him. If Kast is taking part in the primary school and wins, would you also support it?

We do not go on to the scenarios, politics are very changing and there is still a long way to go.
