Sub-primary manufacturing sub-sector grew by 3.39% between January and September, according to INEI | Economy



Production manufacturing sector 1.19% grew in September 2018, summarizing the January-September increase of 4.33%, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI ).

The entity stated that this positive result was due to the higher production of the primary manufacturing (3.52%) and primary sub-manufacturing division (0.52%), with an increase for the January-September period of 7% and 3.39%, respectively.

The main branches and non-primary manufacturing sub-sectors that stand out for their dynamics were the production of metallic products for structural and plastic use.

In September, metallic products increased for 25.8% structural use and enrolled the highest rate so far this year. In addition, in the period January-September 2018, 7.6% increased.

This result was produced producing more frames, industrial frames, ready modules, metal doors and windows, for the internal and external market, according to the case Bolivia, The Ecuador a Honduras.

The production of plastic products expanded by 11.3% in September and collected six months of successive growth.

Similarly, in the period January to September, the production of plastic products increased by 4.6% in different types and the highest accrual rate has increased so far this year.

The growth was due to the production of more plastic products for packaging, for construction and various plastic articles, articles for transportation, packaging and packaging to meet internal and external demand towards Mexico, The Argentina, The Puerto Rico, The United States, The Bolivia, The Chile, The Panama a Guatemala.
