The officer explained that the four health teams used in the area also faced the fact that indigenous people are not receiving vaccination for cultural reasons.

On its behalf, the general director of Health, Itza Barahona, emphasized the importance of vaccination, given that the characteristics of cyclic bacteria are applied in several doses, in addition to the use of antibiotics to attack the disease in the people affected.

He also recommended that isolation of people carrying the disease to prevent spreading, as well as immediate medical attention in the presence of the first symptoms.
