GTX 1660 Ti vs GTX 1060

Today, we have an interesting comparison of the recent GeForce GTX 1660 Ti o NVIDIA in front of the popular GTX 1060, the graphics card that is probably replaced by this new series. Anandtech people made a performance comparison with disclosure results, all in favor of the latest offer of NVIDIA for the mid-range segment.

Comparison of GTX 1660 Ti vs GTX 1060 gaming performance

GTX 1660 Ti

AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.2.2
SO Windows 10 x64 Pro (1803)
Screw and Meltdown After Swallowing

For the test, GTX 1660 Ti XC Black of EVGA was used along with GTX 1060 in its reference model. The equipment is powerful enough not to make any type of bottle & piece.

BATTLEFIELD 1

GTX 1660 Ti

1080p – Ultra – FPS 1440p – Ultra – FPS
GTX 1660 Ti 116 85
GTX 1060 86 62

The first comparison game is Field 1 They work in Ultra quality with support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The game shows the excellence of Tea 1660, being able to play this game in 1440p and 60 fps with little disadvantages.

FAR CRY 5

GTX 1660 Ti

1080p – Ultra – FPS 1440p – Ultra – FPS
GTX 1660 Ti 93 67
GTX 1060 70 48

This test was performed without enabling HD textures, an option that was recently used. With 1660 you you can enjoy the game with a frame rate of 60 fps in 1440p and the Ultra quality, unfortunately GTX 1060 can not maintain that frame rate.

WOLFENSTEIN II

GTX 1660 Ti

1080p – Mein Leben! – FPS 1440p – Mein Leben! – FPS
GTX 1660 Ti 134 89
GTX 1060 82 58

Another game we can play in 1440p and 60 fps with the new NVIDIA graphics card, and also a test where there is a better difference in performance between the two cards.

FINAL FANTASIAETH XV

GTX 1660 Ti

1080p – Ultra – FPS 1440p – Ultra-FPS
GTX 1660 Ti 74 51
GTX 1060 53 37

Another favorite favorite for performance testing, Final Fantasy XV, requires Ultra quality. The GTX 1660 Ti fits a frame rate of 74 fps in 1080p, but it does not achieve it at 1440p. The GTX 1060 does not achieve any of the two, as it is far in the relative results.

GTA V

GTX 1660 Ti

1080p – High High – FPS 1440p – High High – FPS
GTX 1660 Ti 93 66
GTX 1060 76 50

Grand Theft Auto V shows more similarity to the other comparison in Highly High quality. The only one who controls 60 fps in both decisions is the new 1660 Ti.

LEARNING ORDER

GTX 1660 Ti

1080p – Ultra – FPS 1440p Ultra – FPS
GTX 1660 Ti 79 54
GTX 1060 56 38

Use the new engine LithTech Firebird, The Shadow of War improves the details and complexity, and with high resolution texture packages, it is offered as a good example of how to maximize the use of both graphics. The difference continues in performance, but T Ti 1660 can not reach the constant 60 fps in 1440p

OUTCOME

Use [Battlefield 1]
GTX 1660 Ti 278
GTX 1060 257

At the level of use, both are more than 250 W Power in full operation, in this case, we see the use they have with the Battlefield 1 game relevant to almost any other game.

Collections

The results are very favorable to GTX 1660 TiIt seems that NVIDIA has done very good work with this graph in terms of performance and usage. If we look at the figures, the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti offers 37% more performance than GTX 1060 from 6GB to 1440p, and very similar earnings of 36% in the 1080p decision.

The use of a full surgery force reaches 278 W with a video game, with the GTX 1060 that the use reaches 257 W. With relatively similar use between the two, the new NVIDIA option achieves a performance gain of more than 35%, not bad.

If we look at the prices at the moment, this graphic card costs € 100 more than the GTX 1060 or even more of a difference depending on the model (The GTX 1060 AMP of ZOTAC is at 189.90 euros), so this chart appears to have been born to replace the GTX 1070 in that price performance range.
