This Thursday, the leaders of the teams that form the National Association of Professional Societies (ANFP) will define who will presume the presidency from the club council, and the circle that Arturo Salah's head of January 2016 will end.
The entity that integrates and oversees Chile's Football Federation comes from complex years after the mandate that Sergio Jadue served between 2011 and 2015, after being accused by the United States justice system of pollution in the FIFA Gate.
To find out about the proposals of the three candidates, DN Deportes submitted a survey to Jorge Uauy, Sebastián Moreno to Harold Mayne-Nicholls, which presents their proposals for seven key issues for the four years their term lasts.
1) Should Reinaldo Rueda continue in the choice?
Uauy: I was asked a lot and, as I said to the media for the first time, I do not know the Rueda project as a whole. As a result, at the beginning of my time, undoubtedly it will be one of the first meetings that I will get. After that, and after Reinaldo's meeting, in professional and human terms, the future of the National Team's technical direction is determined. Any answer today is urgent. I believe in the process but also in the results. In this way or not.
Moreno: We have a commitment to develop with Reinaldo Rueda and training staff. In the medium term we have the American Cup. We have to revalidate two previously won championships. And the main objective is to qualify for the Qatar World Cup. Reinaldo and technical staff have the securities to develop their work for which he was employed.
Mayne-Nicholls: I am not in favor of interfering with technical processes. Reinaldo Rueda has already made a fairly comprehensive evaluation of all the players that are available to the national team and I do not think it would be a good idea to miss this year.
2) What project do you have for Juan Pinto Durán Complex?
Uauy: I understand that a project is underway, and we will have to review it in detail. Up to the moment we have not been told. However, I have the absolute conviction that we need a sports complex from the highest level, in all respects, to the National Team, but we will be careful in the resources needed. We will not be an ANFP sustainability mortgage if there are no resources.
Moreno: We intend to develop a first level where male football can fit all of the underlying national teams, with women's football, the adult team and the different extracts that form national team of young women, also foot and fake football. We look at Pinto Durán as a place where our football is developed in an integral way.
Mayne-Nicholls: Chile's football teams with everything that the country needs a new complex, but before seeing how this is done, a feasibility study must be carried out sustainably and sustainably in the future, before deciding whether it is & Is it done or not?
3) Do you intend to keep the tournament long or return to a short tournament?
Uauy: There is plenty of evidence on all types of tournaments to make the corresponding analyzes of what is best for sport and economic soccer from Chile. The type of tournament that we have in the future will depend on what the president's advice determines and what is best for the clubs.
Moreno: What is needed for football development is its stability in the championship system. We only had this year with this championship system, agreed by the president's advice. Certainly, we are in favor of maintaining this system over time, stability is something fundamental, and evaluates it permanently with the advice of the presidents.
Mayne-Nicholls: The type of tournament is something that decides and decides on the advice of the presidents, it does not decide or decide on the directory. Everyone knows I've always liked a long tournament, but if the president council decides otherwise, we will work with great enthusiasm.
4) How do you intend to promote the Second Professional Division?
Uauy: We have a different and innovative offer that refers to increasing youth participation in this section, where it will be a privilege that the second largest young people compete. It is also possible to create subsidiaries of the Primera A and Primera teams, as in the case of the Spanish league.
Moreno: It can not be that the Second Division does not generate income. First you have to worry about generating income for the clubs that it includes. In other countries, there is an important breeding field for the clubs and, ultimately, for the national teams. And by the way, clubs have to have new equipment so that they can improve themselves and produce different income that allows them to survive in the medium and long term.
Mayne-Nicholls: A deep review is needed, which can also bring deep structural changes too. It does not seem like a tournament where there is so, but a few teams. We must also seek and promote all the benefits of participation in ANFP, and must be actively involved in some items such as financing of transfers and expenses associated with the development of a game.
5) What project do you have for young football, to increase the percentage of players participating in minor extracts that reach an adult?
Uauy: Having better clubs is getting involved with more participation and better training for young people. Therefore, as a wonderful circle, better clubs and more training, it will lead us to have more competitive youth teams, which will affect the development of a more powerful adult team. What is clear is that Section 20 rule does not contribute to empowering young people, because when they turn 21 left without competition.
Moreno: We need to understand that clubs are the kernel that creates football development. From the club's young football, selective players are rising. As it has set up in our strategic plan, we need to train players with the characteristics of a selected player of the earliest age, starting under 15 onwards. Our duty is to provide international friction with the characteristics of a player of choice and, to that extent, as a group is acquired from the earliest age, as is done in other countries, who work like this , we will be able to consolidate an important group that will be added to a significant percentage, then to form a solid group in the absolute national teams of the future.
Mayne-Nicholls: The technicians of those departments travel through the 32 clubs or 42 ANFP clubs, see in the field to train all children and accordingly they are making an appraisal and start inviting players . That journey and that opinion of training, at least a week, and meanwhile, play games of international character, or two, so that the technician can draw their conclusions . And before the championships join three weeks or a month, then to train with those with whom the technical body has left. I believe that a methodological change is placed on football from Chile as soon as possible.
6) How do you intend to promote women's football?
Uauy: We have to walk along the path of improving our club's female football subsidiaries, so that the girls football league is a reality and has the due importance.
Moreno: He already has a path. We have made great progress since 2016 to this date. We have put a strategic plan for the development of women's football, at team level and national clubs. We understand that our national team team is the score for its development and we will continue to promote women's football at a national level, setting up Sub-15. In relation to the league we have already prepared – since the last two years – much more investment for transfers and accommodation and the various players that make up competition, in the different clubs.
Mayne-Nicholls: The great project for women's football, for us, is to bring the Adult Cup to Chile to 2027. We would have had eight years to work and promote all the girls' football. It would be a great event for the country and it would be a great example.
7) Will you make changes or not improve discipline in the National Team? Pa?
Uauy: The discipline is not acceptable. For most of our country's children, footballers are examples in their lives, they are opposed. We hope to establish, in agreement with the technical bodies, the minimum measures of compliance in this regard.
Moreno: A topic that, of course, corresponds to the training staff and trainer, given that he is the leader of the discipline inside the dressing room . That is the task that the national trainer needs to perform and, in the way, we respect the decisions made by the coach.
Mayne-Nicholls: For me, discipline is not a matter of rules, it is not a matter of licenses, it is not a matter of liabilities. The discipline is a matter of commitment and every player who comes to any of their choices must understand that there is a greater commitment here, which is the commitment to & The whole country. That commitment is to maintain discipline. Unfortunately, those who do not understand will not be able to integrate the Chilean team.
