Chinese are the ones most likely to put their personal information in return for "discounts"

Caring for your personal data is important, because they are you, they are unique and should not be in the hands of a third party and less than private.

That discussion goes far and it seems that the issue has been a long time control, leaving the question, if people regain their privacy at some point.

The issue is that these data are worth and "gold" many companies around the world, although it seems that people do not understand it, especially the Chileans.

According to the latest study by Kaspersky Labs, for a small discount or online coupon, people are willing to do much more, 40% of American Ladies say "to be used" to present their data.

For countries and providers that are easier, this is the site:

  1. Chile, with 47%
  2. Colombia, with 45%
  3. Argentina, with 44%
  4. Peru, with 37%
  5. Brazil with 35%
  6. Mexico, with 24%

Since congratulations to Mexicans want much more education in this area than the rest of the countries that were part of the sample.

Dmitry Bestuzhev, director of Kaspersky Lab's Global Research and Analysis Team in Latin America said:

Once we make our information publicly there is no turning back. When we act motivating and share personal data or accept conditions without knowing what is behind, we can be victims of identity theft, hacking e-mail and social networks, and stealing money from bank accounts . In addition, disclosure of specific data can cause great damage to privacy, as that information is usually sold to a third party for targeted advertising. On the other hand, by registering in these discounts, we also give some licenses for using the information we provide and many users do not read.
