Artificial intelligence tested proved to detect lung cancer … and to pass it with honors – Journalism. com

Computers were as good or better than doctors to detect small lung cancer tumors on CT scans, in a study conducted by Google researchers and several medical centers.

This technology is a project that is developing, it's not ready to use widely, but the new report, which was published in May 20 in the t journal Nature Medicine, offers an insight into the future of artificial intelligence in medicine.

One of the most promising areas is pattern recognition and image interpretation – the same skills people use to explore microscope slides, X-rays, MRIs and other medical examinations.
