Titanians will be known as the Overwatch League sports team in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Titans will join the Toronto Defiant and six other new teams for 2019: Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Paris, and Chengdu, Guangzhou and Hangzhou, China.
During the first season of Overwatch 2018 there were 12 teams: Boston Rising, Florida Mayhem, Houston Outlaws, London Spitfire, New York Excelsior and Philadelphia Fusion in the Atlantic Region and Dallas Fuel, Los Angeles Gladiators, Los Angeles Valiant, San Francisco Shock, Seoul Dynasty and Shanghai Dragons in the Pacific Ocean Division.
The Titans have Aquilini Group, the owner of Vancouver Canucks. The sports team's list, control and branding was officially revealed, Saturday at Rogers Arena before the NHL match between the Canucks and Dallas Stars.
Overwatch League Season starts on February 14.
"In choosing our identity, we wanted to introduce a team that would be happy with supporters in the Pacific North West," said Francesco Aquilini, managing director of Aquilini Group, in a statement. "We have an experienced and experienced local team and team and can not wait for the Titanians to compete at the highest level in sport."
Titans' colors are blue (primary), green (secondary) and white (accents), a combination the team says represents "Vancouver's green surrounded by the Pacific Ocean."
The Titans logo contains Sasquatch with monograms; in the nose to Vancouver, and a mountain range at its top.
"The name of the Titan team is a sign of the features associated with the Sasquatch – a powerful, amazing, and legend."
The Aquilini Group has co-ordinated with the Luminosity Games, a sports veteran, to steer the team.
The Titans team list includes the former RunAway members, a successful Overwatch squad.
London won the first league championship – and US $ 1 million – in July, defeating Philadelphia 3-0 at the Barclays Center selling at Brooklyn, N.W. Philadelphia collected $ 400,000 as a second.
The league is the idea of developer Overwatch Blizzard Entertainment, whose gaming portfolio also includes "World of Warcraft" and "StarCraft." Overwatch has more than 30 million players.
The league intends to continue to hold his games in the Blizzard sports arena in Burbank, Calif., In 2019 with plans to set games in the free cities in 2020.
